PTSA Student Representative Council

Students who are looking for new leadership opportunities are invited to check out the PTSA’S Student Representative Council. The SRC was started in 2004 to encourage more students to actively participate in PTSA Meetings and projects. Last year, many students took part in PTSA discussions, votes, and events. More than 30 students received SRC certificates.

Students at every grade level are welcome to join the SRC, no elections or special nominations are required. Students simply attend PTSA meetings and help out with PTSA events. Students who meet the minimum SRC requirements are recognized at Awards Night at the end of the school year and receive a certificate and letter of commendation to add to their college admission or work reference files.

To earn the SRC certificate:
• Join the PTSA as a student member ($7.50 membership fee)
• Attend at least three PTSA meetings throughout the school year
• Complete at least five PTSA-approved service hours (for example, help set up for Back-To-School night, man membership table at school events, bring food for hospitality events, volunteer for Mulch Sale or Landscaping Day, etc.)
